After a long, arduous three day trip we finally arrived in North Carolina, and finally slept! Although not particularly long (Jason had four hours after our arrival, a dentist appointment in the dental office, where his mother works), but adequate four hours of sleep, to at least stand back upright on two legs. I came in the afternoon with them to the office, to a little welcome party organized because of Annie's work colleagues. With enough Bloody Marys (not to mention, I'm really not a cocktail drinker, I think the idea of tomato juice in cocktail mix, is pretty strange!) while Jason was with open mouth in the dentist chair.
Back in Annie's house, Once we went to the terrace, nice to chat and further alcohol…
It's pretty cool to get to know Jason's parents finally. In fact, I've been waiting for months to deal with them at last. Of the many interesting things, is definitely one of them to know the parents of the partner!
A little small talk, then it was finally time to find a couple of stories about Jason, who sometimes likes to withhold his life stories. Finally, the matter is then finally done justice, since Jason was allowed to hear from my parents stories about me!
The alcohol on the terrace was then more to my taste than the Bloody Marys before: Beer! It is quite amusing, that each house, I come into, has a stock of beer in the fridge, because I'm German. And of course the Germans like to drink beer (and no: The Germans do not like to drink their beer warm, no matter what there is a rumor in circulation!). So I just sampled the American beer: From “Abita Purple Haze” to cans of beer, which have the mountains as a motif, and the blue tops shimmer, when it comes out of the refrigerator. Nice idea, that one can see by the color of the mountains, how cold the beer is, that one holds in his hand…
So it was a nice first evening in North Carolina: Drink in the beautiful house of Jason's mother on the terrace of a cold beer and finally meet once Jason's Mom…

Thanks to Jason! and Lena for sharing a blog with us, to follow you and make us little jealous.
only one question dear Lena: are not you already 22,
or I'm really only 21?
oh and as an expert in the packaging industry, of course, it would be interesting to know how this beer with the Thermolack on the mountain is called!
