Washed Up #2

Published 22 May 2007

Not too much here makes this feel like night, but I like it all the same. There not a star in the sky, and very little movement to allude to a long exposure. Either way, this was shot in the beginning of the month during the full moon, and is actually a 92 second exposure. But, I guess all that doesn’t really matter anyway: as they say, “what you see is what you get.”

Taken in the same location as this shot and this one.

Info: 92 seconds @ f/5.6, 15mm fisheye.

In other news, there’s a blue moon next month. No, unfortunately the moon will not actually be blue. In the traditional sense, a blue moon is simply the third blue moon in a season – something that only happens once every 2 1/2 years or so. In a more modern sense, it’s more commonly defined as the second full moon of a given month.

Either way, I’m excited. Two full moons in one month? Oh yeah. It’s gonna be fun.
