Washed Up

Published 8 May 2007

Okay, sorry for the delay. Here’s another of the night images from the full moon this month. Converted from RAW, slight levels and curves adjustment.

82 second exposure @ f/5.6, 15mm fisheye.

Things have been crazy lately. Working all day, and making photos all night. There’s been little sleep in between. I’m just getting around to processing photos from over a month ago, and I have tons of images I’ve never even looked at! I’ve got undeveloped rolls of film piling up, negatives to be scanned, a giant stack of Polaroids looking for some use. That’s not to mention all the framing and printing I’ve been trying to keep up with. It’s such a huge backlog, who knows if I’ll ever get to it all. But I just can’t stop. There’s something about capturing a photos that just feel right to me… I see light, or color, or shadows, and I just can’t help but feel moved by it and hope that I can convey just a sense of that to others.

Really though, it feels great. I have been so inspired lately and see no end in sight. I feel something building, and I hope I can hang on to ride it out. I thoroughly appreciate all the positive feedback I’ve been getting lately. If you are out there reading this, please drop me a line. Just say hello, even if you’re not compelled to comment on the photos. It’s nice to know you’re out there all the same. =)
