![]() View from Siyeh Bend, Glacier National ParkPublished 8 October 2007 Well, looks like we have arrived now at day six of the recent trip… now in Glacier National Park, number three out of seven I was to visit in three weeks. You’ve already seen a couple of shots from Rocky Mountain in Colorado and The Badlands in South Dakota. Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Mesa Verde, and the Great Sand Dunes yet to come. This was another such scene that I couldn’t help but to photograph is with nearly every camera I had with me at the moment. It was late afternoon on my first full day in the park. The light was coming through the mountains and hitting the first hints of fall foliage just right. Here, in the foreground, you see what I believe is called ‘fireweed’ and you can guess why. Such gorgeous colors and of course Velvia was my first choice to capture it. Camera: Canon Elan 7n, Fuji Velvia 100 Slide, Exposure somewhere around 1/30s @ f/16 or so. Also, I should mention that I’m off again for another week, this time to North Carolina – leaving in a few hours actually and still not packed (surprise)... I was going to set up some auto posts for you since internet access will be limited, but things don’t always pan out quite like one wishes. Heh, so you will have to suffer and maybe look at this image for a few days. ;-) I’ll see if I can’t get one or two posts up over the next week though, and in any matter I’ll be back in full swing again after next Tuesday (10/16).
