![]() Undine Falls, Yellowstone National ParkPublished 24 October 2007 This was taken the following morning from the last one. The light was pretty funky on this day; quite overcast, which is usually quite good for waterfall photography. Anyhow, the fall colors came out great in the subdued light. Speaking of colors, I had a lot of problems with the colors in this shot. Specifically, working in a sRGB color space and posting in Firefox, which uses Macintosh RGB. The difference is horrendous, colors end up washed out and I lose the richness of the blacks. It’s really frustrating working in a color managed environment and then realizing it has so little merit if everyone can’t agree on which color space to display the content I’m posting (though admittedly it does help infinitely when it comes to making prints). I’ll be the first to admit though that color management has to be the weakest point of my workflow. Mostly due to the fact the I simply do not understand the ins and outs… I suppose one day I’ll have to learn. If you don’t mind let me know how the colors look to you and if possible some environment variables… Thanks. I’d be interested to know who’s seeing what.
