![]() Sunken Boat, MadisonvillePublished 29 January 2007 Took a tip out to the lighthouse in Madisonville for the sunset today. The sky was just brilliant. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get any good shots of the lighthouse, as my 75-300mm lens decided to crap out on me at just the moment when the sky was really on fire. So, I had to settle with some shots of this old sunken tug. I’ve photographed it before with my pinhole camera, but the results were not quite this spectacular. This is an HDR composite, but the sky really did look like this. I actually reduced the saturation on this one just a smudge, but even so it has a sort of otherworldly look to it. This is one of my first attempts at HDR, let me know what you think. I’m still a bit undecided…
