Ponchartrain Piers

Published 23 August 2007

So, does it seem like I shoot a lot of piers and groynes? I just love the water, sunsets, etc., but sometimes there’s just few other focal points to include in this landscape. There are no dramatic, rocky coasts here. Just flat. Sometimes beaches, sometimes grassy marsh. But nothing of real interest other than the light.

Sorry for the little lapse in posts (once again), though perhaps no one really notices. Photoshop crapped out on me and I spent two days on the phone with Adobe trying to get everything sorted and to get it ‘re-activated’. Damn pain.

INFO: (I’ve been forgetting this) Three stitched exposures shot with 15mm fisheye, 1/125 seconds @ f/11. Taken Here. Compare with Yahoo maps, satellite images taken before Katrina…

Oh yeah, you gotta SEE THIS ONE BIG to really appreciate.
