Juli and A Late Night at Louie's

Published 23 April 2008

Here’s Juli. I think this was a couple of month’s back in Louie’s Café in Baton Rouge late one night. More of those shots to come.

So, I noted in the last post that I’m most certainly NOT a portrait artist. Well, here’s two in a row. And if you count the cherub statue, and the blurry shot a few back that makes FIVE. And really, over the past few weeks the percentage of shots actually featuring some sort of human life in them is amazing. I’ve been locked in this city too long! I need landscapes! Where are the mountain vistas?!?

But really, I’ve ceased to put a name to it for some time… what am I? An artist? Photographer? Fine Art Photographer??? Portrait, landscape, commercial? Who knows… every time I think I know where I’m going or what I’m aiming for it gets mixed. I love it all. I’m a slave to the light and to chance, and I take what gifts they happen to bring me.
