Here’s a wider view of the dunes demonstrating a bit of the sheer force and tenacity of such an environment. The wind was really blowing this morning… I ended up with sand everywhere. Ears, hair, pockets… my lens still makes a bit of a nasty grinding sound more than a month later. Probably not a good thing, but hey- that’s what it’s for… making photos. As much as I try to take care of my gear, I never sacrifice a photo because I’m too scared to use it. It seems it would defeat the purpose of having it in the first place.
