Distressed

Published 7 September 2007

Well, I’ve put off posting for a couple days now… Actually, I’ve rather disappeared from the internet altogether for a while. I haven’t been to anyone’s site lately, and I apologize.

I’ve just been feeling rather bewildered, incompetent, and overwhelmed all at once. All this actually comes from the fact that I’m incredibly inspired lately. I’ve come across some absolutely brilliant work- the stuff one stumbles upon only rarely in a lifetime… work that is so humbling that it’s hard to steady his legs afterward.

So, it’s rather tough finding an image and gathering the courage to post something up here. What image could possibly stand up to all the other wonderfully brilliant work out there…? Photography is such a wonderful art; there’s so many possibilities- but in the same way one is so limited as to what he can accomplish in a lifetime… It can be quite frustrating sometimes. So, this is just the next humble image in line which I meant to post days ago. From the same cemetery as the last shot.

Holga 120N, Illford HP4 @ about 2 minutes… Scanned negative.

Anyway, if you don’t hear from me for a couple weeks don’t fear. I’m off for another trip... I leave Sunday, after the opening. I had intended to set up some posts to keep everyone happy, but it’s just not gonna happen. So, go ahead and SUBSCRIBE so you will know the moment I’m back in business. If I get around to it I may try to throw another shot or two up before I leave so all you guys coming to the site manually won’t have to look at this one for three weeks…

Thanks as always for all the comments, even though I haven’t been responding I’ve been reading them! I look forward to getting back in touch with everyone when I’m back around and returning refreshed, inspired, and loaded with exposed film. =)

Don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE, SUCKER!
