This is the small but lovely Blue Hen Creek Falls from Cuyahoga National Park in Northern Ohio. This was taken just after a rather large storm, so the falls have a much higher volume of water than usual and they are quite muddy. Still, there’s just something so simply beautiful about the incredibly lush forest just after the rain. Plus, due to the weather (overcast skies are actually the best time to photograph waterfalls) I got the falls all to myself. I didn’t see a soul the whole way down the trail or back up. It was nice to have such a fresh look at the forest after the storm before anyone else had a chance to pass through…
