This is beautiful. The tones and texture in the old guy’s jacket is amazing. An almost timesless scene, only the odd modern bottle on the counter gives any hint to a point in time.

The Tao never strives, yet nothing is left undone. If leaders were able to adhere to it the ten thousand things would develop of their own accord. If after they have developed they experience desires to strive, they can bury those desires under the nameless Uncarved Block.

The nameless Uncarved Block can protect against desire.
When desires are restrained there will be peace,
and then all under heaven will be at rest.
    “Tao Te Ching Chapter 37”

You really captured a great feeling and a story in and of itself. Well done.

As far as taking off is concerned, isn’t that what photographers do? That’s my favorite part about it.

I really like this, Jason. This is getting into a series that I’ve been toying with in my head for a while.

Lovely work Jason…as for the making off without notice….a notion I have pondered with for a while…perhaps one day!

Great, this really leaves you imagining a story to go with the image.
