Very nice toning. I also like the vignetting. Wish we had cool gas stations like that to photograph where I live :)

I like the color version except the bright reds on the building (Like the triangles in front). They seem to bright and keep me from enjoying the rest of the image. The black and white turns them to black and I ignore them. Very interesting.

Very nice, Jason. I like both versions. I agree about the reds on the station being too bright.

Good choice! I like the monotone much better.

I’ve been checking out your photo blog in the last while and have been really enjoying your images. You have a great eye. Keep up the great work.

I’m really enjoying your last chance Texaco shots. I think I like this one the best so far.

I think I’ve seen the color version somewhere before, and commented on the too bright reds. I much prefer this version.

The dry wind is definitely blowing in this picture. The tone, composition, etc., remind of the way “The Last Picture Show” was presented. THanks for a great shot!

I gotta say I love that color version for the color and the monotone version for the period architecture.

I’m with the previous Jeff. I love the colour version, but this one is cool too for different reasons. That said, I like the colour one enough that I would probably have never even thought to try a monochrome…

    Abandon building. Captured forever. Thanks!

I too feel the same as Jeff does. Both were awesome pictures. Don’t know much about photography. The colored version reminds me of when I grew up in small town where abandoned buildings where common. Nice photos!
