A project for my intro sculpture class. The assignment was to make a self-portrait from wood. I had just returned from a trip from Big Bend, TX., where I had experienced a rather intense spiritual vision. Having felt that this entity was risen from me, as part of the purging process of spiritual cleansing, I felt it was the perfect subject to represent as a self-portrait. This sculpture was made from a drawing I had made directly following the experience.
